Make Do Monday – Inside the Victory Marquee

dancingLast week we had a look at what is happening in the Home Front Marquee at the Dig for Victory Show on the 11th-12th of June. This week we’ll have a look at what will be going on during the daytime in the Victory Marquee!DSCN0316There is a fantastic line up of live music over the two day festival. Acts include the lovely Sticky Toffee JazzThe Marionettes, Emily Wright, musician Ricky Hunter, DJ UXBFifilaroux and The Prohibition Band as well as The Innsworth Military Wives Choir and The Goodnight Sweethearts!DSCN0268Make sure you bring your dance shoes, Bristol Swing Dance will help you with the steps!dfvs-2015-49For 2016 on the 75th anniversary of The Blitz; Aviation historian, broadcaster and writer Paul Beaver will be speaking in our Victory Marquee.dfvs2015-rg-s-15Local children from Stagecoach theatre arts school will be performing and The Paper Moon Band fronted by Lucy Moon will be running a free music and dance workshop for children.dfvs-2015-54Outside of the Marquee you can try your skills on an old fashioned game of skittles. Or why not relax on a picnic blanket with a drink from the bar or a bite to eat from one of the lovely food stalls?
