Make Do Monday – Home front Marquee

The Dig for Victory Show is only weeks away now and it looks like spring and sunshine has come to stay!

As you can see on the website we’ve got a lot of different activities at the show to see and do, today I thought we would share some of the things happening in the Home front Marquee, one of the Dig for Victory Shows big marquees filled with fun! DSCN0340The Home front Marquee is filled with some amazing stalls selling everything from Vintage home wares, antiques, crafts, British made wool throws, fantastic make up products from Outside the box as well as Vintage fashion!DSCN0198In another end of the Home Front Marquee we’ve got the the 1940’s kitchen where there will be cooking demonstrations and talks about food rations going on through out all day both Saturday and Sunday!DSCN0344As part of the Dig for Victory Shows very popular Children’s trail there will be activities for everyone to join in on by the Make do and Mend area; make a felt poppy or RAF roundel badge, dress a peg doll or why not try a bit of knitting and crochet with the talented Emily from EweKnit20 joining us again this year!DSCN0230

On Sunday the 12th of June there will also be a bunting making and decorating workshop with Verity from Lace is more-bringing her miniature sewing machines along to the show!DSCN0186All this and even more is what you can look forward to on the 11th and 12th of June at the North Somerset Showground in the Home front Marquee, next week we’ll have a look at the Victory Marquee and the activities in there!

If you have got a ticket for the Saturday Night Dance, there will also be opportunities to book an appointment to have your hair and make up done in the day! If you haven’t already got one of the limited Dance tickets, book online now to avoid missing out!
