Workshop Wednesday – Winter Work

While it’s been a very warm December with plenty of the usual distractions, we’ve still managed to make some decent progress down at the mill.

We’ve managed to use the gantry to split the 4.5″ gun platform apart. Still some way to go before we can fit the barrel, but plenty of parts to clean up, paint, fit etc. before then.

On the Bedford QL Tipper, we’ve taken off the carb (IIRC a Bedford MW one was previously on there) and fitted a nice refurbished one! Shiny Pieces! Still one core plug to fit, but along with Rich’s re-wire we should be ready to try starting it soon.

Finally, our festive tradition is to have a christmas meal at local pub (and DFVS bar providers) The Salthouse. A good time was had by all!
